Obituary

Mary Lou Wise passed away peacefully on Monday February 5, 2023.

She was born August 3, 1928, in Youngstown, the daughter of Thomas Fahy and Mary Jennings Fahy.  Mrs. Wise was a 1946 graduate of The Rayen School.  Mary Lou met her husband, Ray Wise, shortly after he returned from his service in the Navy in 1946.  The couple married on May 12, 1951, sadly Ray passed away on May 11, 2011.

Mary Lou was an amazing housewife and mother, raising three children Lynn, Nancy and Stu, while also balancing a career as an employee of the Boardman High School Cafeteria Staff for over a decade.  She also worked as a AAA Roadside Assistant for fifteen plus years, coordinating relief for stranded motorists.  Additionally, Mary Lou was a devout Catholic who worked at St. Columba Cathedral serving Bishop Charles Franzetta and the staff administratively, after raising her family.  Mary Lou was an inspiration to others with her positive outlook on life, her incredibly caring demeanor, and her genuine love for her family and friends.  Her smile and compassion for others was infectious and she was truly "one of a kind."

To cherish her memory, Mary Lou leaves her children Lynn Flaviano of Canfield, Nancy (Mark) Lewis of Kentucky, and Stu (Lisa) Wise of Virginia; grandchildren Maura Flaviano, Nicholas (Toni) Flaviano, John and Patrick Lewis, Ryan (Kate) Wise, Brenna (Collin) Liberatore and Logan Wise.  Great grandchildren Liviana and Ireland Flaviano and Nylah and Nathaniel Rolle.

The Wise family has requested material tributes to be made in Mary Lou's memory to Hospice of The Valley located at 979 Tibbetts Wick Rd. # A. Girard Ohio 44420..
