Melissa L. Maine, 44 STRUTHERS- Melissa L. Maine, 44, passed away on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at the Hospice House after a two year battle with ALS. Melissa was born Jan. 10, 1969, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Daryl and Kathleen Maloney Maine. She was a collage graduate who taught for the Youngstown city schools. Melissa leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Phil J. Shaver, whom she married in July of 2011; two daughters, Elena Jones of Lake Milton and Melia Shaver of Struthers; and her brother, Darryl Maine of Palm Desert, Calif.
