Michael N. Geskey, 67, of Canfield passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 7th after a decade-long battle with early onset Alzheimer's disease. His memory will be cherished by Audrey, his loving wife of 37 years, their three children: Jim (Ashley) Geskey of Denver, Colorado, Katie (Brian) Carnie of Canfield, Ohio, and Amy (Mark) Jacobson of Holland, Michigan; his three granddaughters Elyse Geskey, and Maddie and Emma Carnie; his sister Marilyn (Bob) Gunthner of St. Louis, Missouri, and his nieces Laura Gunthner of St. Louis, Missouri and Carolyn Gunthner of Denver, Colorado. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mike was born February 6, 1947, in Peoria, Illinois. He graduated from Spalding Academy and went on to receive his degree in marketing from the University of Illinois. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and enjoyed playing rugby with the Chicago Lions. Mike's career started in Chicago where he met his wife. They moved to Peoria where he continued his career as a steel salesman at Hagerty Brothers, and he retired as Vice President/General Manager of Kenilworth Steel in Warren, Ohio. He enjoyed golfing with friends and participating in anything involving his family. He was an active member of Tippecanoe Country Club and St. Michael's Parish. Mike proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army. Funeral services will take place Monday, September 15th at 11 am at St. Michael's Parish in Canfield with celebrant Father Terry Hazel. Friends may call at St. Michael's from 10 am until the time of service. There will be a celebration of his life following the services at Tippecanoe Country Club, 5870 Tippecanoe Rd, Canfield, Ohio 44406. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236, or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
