Michael Ginty, 89 POLAND-There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church, Boardman, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service held at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, for Michael Ginty, 89 of Boardman, who died Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Boardman. Michael was born November 18, 1922 in Bonnicolon, County Mayo, Ireland, a son of the late Thomas and Bridget Gilmartin Ginty and moved to Youngstown in 1948. He worked at the open hearth at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and retired in 1979. He was a long time member of St. Dominic Parish and later St.Charles Parish. Michael is survived by his wife the former Winifred O'Hara, whom he married on April 18, 1953. They were blessed to celebrate their 58st wedding anniversary last April. Michael leaves seven sons, Mike (Julia) Ginty of Fishers, IN, Kevin (Sharon) Ginty of Coralville, Iowa, John (Carol) Ginty of Olmsted Falls, OH, Mark (Angela) Ginty of Cincinnati, OH, Dennis Ginty of Hilliard, OH, Paul Ginty of Poland, James (Larissa) Ginty of Alexandria, VA; three brothers, Billy (May)Ginty of County Mayo, Ireland, Charles (Ann) Ginty of London, England; Paddy Ginty of Peterborough, England; a sister, Ann Reynolds of Dublin, Ireland; sixteen grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Jim and Tom Ginty; three sisters Bridget Ginty, Peggy Ginty and May Brennan. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Nursing Facility and St. Elizabeth's Hospital for the loving care that was shown to their father. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Michael's name to St. Charles Parish., 7345 Westview Dr., Boardman, OH 44512. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
