Obituary

Michael A. Klochak, 76 Prayers will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Philip Rogers at 11 a.m.at St. Charles Church for Michael A. Klochak, 76 of Youngstown who passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman. Michael was born February 9, 1937 in Johnstown, PA a son of the late Michael and Josephine Hern Klochak. He graduated from Johnstown High School and became an Airforce veteran. He served his country eight years active duty and then in the reserves for a total of 34 years. He worked for many years as a meat director for Peter J. Schmidt and later as a meat manager for various Sparkle and Giant Eagle Stores. Mike was a member of St. Charles Church and also the Saxon Club. He was an avid golfer, a WVU sports fan and enjoyed traveling but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Ruth A. Dunlosky whom he married October 24, 1970; five daughters, Jacqueline Guevara of Cleveland, Laurie (Dan) Baudile of Pittsburgh, Paula Phelps of Austintown, Michelle (Joe) Laverty of Kinsman, Kimberly Klochak of Johnstown, PA; three sisters Dorothy Maravalli and Patty Scileny both of Johnstown, Mary Lou Pierce of Tennessee; a brother Richard Klochak of Ligoneer, PA; eight grandchildren, Michael Villagrana, Ian Guevara, Alexis Guevara, Taylor and Tyler Laverty, Brian Phelps, Adam Phelps and Victoria Phelps. Michael's family would like to thank Dr. Spratt and his staff and the entire staff at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman for the loving care and compassion they showed to Michael. Friends may call from 4 to7 Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
