Russ Adams, for Mildred Cynthia Dieter, 87, who passed away peacefully early Friday morning, after a year of health challenges. Mildred was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Pittsburgh, to Albert Theodore and Susannah Peacock Redman, after the family had immigrated to the United States from England just six months earlier. By the time she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1946, she was already an accomplished pianist. Upon her graduation, she worked in the engineering dept. of Youngstown Sheet & Tube until her marriage to Raymond Ernst Dieter in September 1946. Mildred and Raymond started Dieter Heating and Home Improvement in the mid 1950s from their home in Liberty Township. She took business classes at Youngstown State University while balancing family life with daughter Cynthia and son Robert, with managing their business. She was a forward-thinking women who was not afraid to be the only female in the many training classes she and Ray attended. After Raymond died Jan. 13, 1977, she continued to work at the family business by supporting her son, Robert Raymond Dieter, who walked into his father's shoes and the business, that is now known as Dieter Heating & Air Conditioning . Not satisfied with stopping her personal growth, she enrolled in Penn-Ohio College in April 1978 for her studies in Real Estate Sales, graduating in October 1978. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Cynthia Dieter Brown; a son, Robert R. (Linda L.) Dieter; and three grandchildren, Michael R. Dieter, Valerie A. Dieter and Jason B. Brown. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman. Material tributes can be made in Mildred's memory to the Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Road S.E., P.O.
