Muriel Helen Tavolario, 74 YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Michael Cariglio at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for Muriel Helen Tavolario, 74, who passed away Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Muriel was born on March 28, 1939, in Kennerdell, Pa., a daughter of William J. and Esther Perry Clarke, and had been an area resident for most of her life. Muriel graduated from South High School in 1957. She was a homemaker but had been employed as a candy molder for Geordan and Giannos Candy companies. She was a long time member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Youngstown. Her husband, Phillip Tavolario, whom she married June 3, 1957, died June 13,1976. Muriel leaves her son, Michael (Jean Lewis) Tavolario of Struthers; three daughters, Debra (Michael) Flynn of Virginia Beach, Va., Tammy (James) Cligro of Columbus, and Connie (Juiquin) Carew of Muskegon, Mich.; two sisters, Sandra Jackson of Youngstown and Billi Jo Condon of Girard; a brother, Phillip Clarke of Leavittsburg; and 10 grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, Muriel was preceded in death by her brother, William Clarke. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
