YOUNGSTOWN- Myron D. Smith, 60 Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home on Market St. in Boardman for Myron D. Smith, 60, who passed away Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth's Hospital after a sudden illness. Myron was born August 11, 1950, in Youngstown, a son of the late Robert E. Smith and Margaret Stephens. Myron graduated from Woodrow Wilson H.S. and has been a lifelong area resident. He served with the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War. He worked as a roofer for various companies in the Youngstown area. Besides his mother Margaret with whom he made his home, he also leaves a sister, Carol Martin, wife of Phillip M. Martin, of Austintown; two brothers, Richard Evans of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Thomas "Lumpy" Smith of Austintown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Linda Evans-Kohn, and a brother Robert E. Smith. Private services will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests any memorial donations to be given to The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, 962 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Youngstown, OH 44510.
