Norma B. Fitz-Patrick, 94 CANFIELD - Prayers will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. John Keehner at 1 p.m. at St. Christine Church, Youngstown, for Norma B. Fitz-Patrick, 94, who passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Sunday evening. Norma was born Feb. 5, 1921, in Youngstown, a daughter of Seward and Blanche McGonnell McCreery. She attended South High School and was a member of St. Christine Church. A kind and gentle women, she had a strong love for her family and home. In 1939, she married her beloved husband, David, and the two of them spent the next 69 years together, before his passing Aug. 30, 2008. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Shannon (Maureen) Fitz-Patrick of Hubbard, Kevin (Carol) Fitz-Patrick of Austintown, Duane Fitz-Patrick of The Villages, Fla., and James (Regina) Fitz-Patrick of Naples, Fla.; and two daughters-in-law, Karen Fitz-Patrick and Marilyn Fitz-Patrick of Austintown; a sister, Sandra (Robert) Noday of Canfield; 12 grandchildren, Christine Cantor, David Fitz-Patrick, Sean Fitz-Patrick, Arianne Fitz-Patrick, Kerri Neff, Heather Tucker, Kimberly Halpren, Duane Fitz-Patrick, Devin Fitz-Patrick, Jamie Fitz-Patrick, Ryan Brownlie and Megan Rubosky; and 21 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by a son, David Fitz-Patrick, Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Darlene Fitz-Patrick; two sisters, June Adair and Laverne Metzger; and three brothers Robert McCreery, Seward McCreery and infant Billy McCreery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman. The family would like to thank the staff at Shepherd of the Valley for all the kindness and compassionate care that was given to Norma and her family.
