Norma Jean Rose Mesarch, 86 BOARDMAN - There will be a funeral service officiated by Pastor Russ Adams at 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Fox Funeral Home for Norma Jean Mesarch, 86, who passed away Thursday morning at Hampton Woods. Norma Jean was born Sept. 30, 1926, in Meadville, Pa., a daughter of Harry and Emma Barnard, and has been an area resident since 1962. Norma Jean was a homemaker but also worked many years in the cafeteria at Boardman Schools. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary Typographical Union. Norma Jean loved to cook, bake and read cook books. She also enjoyed doing crafts and liked bowling. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Walter E. Mesarch, whom she married April 17, 1947. She will also be missed by her two daughters, Susan Rafidi of Boardman and Nancy (Johnny) Urraca of Dunedin, Fla.; one son, Scott (Shannon) Mesarch of Twinsburg; four grandchildren, Joy (Joseph) Wezner of Franklin Lakes, N.J., Lisa Rafidi of Boardman, Logan and Evan Mesarch of Twinsburg; and three great-grandchildren, Anna, Charlotte and Eleanor Wezner. In addition to her parents, Norma Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Fayetta Larsen, as well as three brothers, Oliver, Lloyd and Dale Barnard. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home prior to the service.
