Patricia "Patti" Jean Kosanyar, 65 Retired School Teacher from Yo. City Schools There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated by Rev. Philip Rogers at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Charles Church for Patti Kosanyar, who passed away Wednesday morning after a long battle with Leukemia. A void has been created today for the family and friends of "Patti". She will live in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved her. Patti was born June 22, 1947, a daughter of John and Zora Kesic Kosanyar. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1965 and from Y.S.U. in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. While earning her degree, she worked part time at North Side Hospital in the Cancer registry. She taught in the Yo. Public School system from 1969 thru1999 retiring with 30 years of service. She then became employed as an instructor by Sylvan Learning Center for 10 years. Patti was a member of Y.E.A. -N.E.A. - O.E.A. -R.T.E.A. and S.T.R.S. educational organizations. She was also a long time member of Catholic Collegiate and St. Charles Parish in Boardman serving as their Liturgy Coordinator. She was an avid traveler, especially cruises, loved animals, enjoyed cooking, shopping, long walks, trimming her bushes and swimming. She is survived by her mother, Zora and her sister Geraldine. She was preceded in death by her father, John who passed away in 1998. Calling Hours will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Charles Church.
