A lifelong resident of Youngstown , she graduated from Ursuline High School , the Youngstown State University , and the St. Elizabeth School of Medical Technology. She also achieved additional licensing as a cytotechnologist. She was employed by several Youngstown doctors including John Hyland and Raul Hernandez as well as by the laboratories of St. Elizabeth Hospital and St. Francis of New Castle . Patricia loved to travel and together with her husband enjoyed visiting her far-flung family. She was particularly fond of Hawaii and visited her son Patrick and his family there often.
