Obituary

Paul Ray Newsome, 66 Youngstown - There will be funeral services at 5 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home for Paul Ray Newsome, 66, who passed away Friday evening at Camelot Arms. Paul was born August 27, 1947 in Oswald, WV, a son of the late William C. and Nettie Massey Newsome. He graduated from Mount Hope High School with the Class of 1966 and soon after came to the Youngstown area. Paul worked as a truck driver, worked as a press operator for Commercial Shearing and in maintenance at the YWCA in downtown, Youngstown. He enjoyed playing tennis and was a Cleveland Brown fan. His handle was Hillbilly when he talked on his C.B. Radio; he enjoyed playing his guitar and was always waxing his Cady. He will be greatly missed by his wife Zenona (Hanna) Newsome whom he married on December 21, 1975, celebrating over 38 years of marriage. He will also be missed by his two sons, Paul R. Newsome Jr. and John W. Newsome both of Youngstown; his two daughters Betty L. Newsome of Youngstown, Carrie L. (Joe) Thompson of Marion, OH; a sister Loumay Skeravich of Austintown; two brothers, Fritz Newsome of Washington, NC, John Newsome of Beckley, WV; six grandchildren, Ricky Jr., Johnathan, Allexis, Ashley, William, Jeffrey and a great granddaughter Ayrabella.and several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son Richard Lee Newsome; his grandson Jordon David Newsome; five brothers, Bernard, Evert and Lester Newsome, Denny and Richard Toney; two sisters, Nellie Suttle and Thelma Lemar. . Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St Boardman, Ohio.
