Obituary

Dr. Peter Arlow, PhD., 72, died Oct. 7, 2011, at his residence. Dr. Arlow was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Campbell, son of Mary and Steven Arlow. Dr. Arlow attended Campbell Memorial High School, where he received a football scholarship to Youngstown State University while serving as team captain. Peter was a retired Youngstown State University professor of Business Management, retiring in 2003. He also taught at Shippensburg State College in Pennsylvania after receiving his Doctoral Degree at the University of Cincinnati. He was a member of the Academy of Management and a published author of several business articles, books and journals and served as a review for various business journals. He leaves his wife, Judith of Boardman; a stepson, Greg (Getta) Pokorski of Pittsburgh; a sister, Donna Menelle of Centerville; a brother, Robert (Nancy) of Pearl City, Hawaii; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his brothers, Rudy, Daniel and Louis. A memorial service will be held for Peter at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church. Friends may call an hour before the service, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, Dr. Arlows family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
