Boardman, Peter J. Cordon, Sr. 77. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday at St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Thomas Constantine celebrating for Peter J. Cordon, Sr. 77 of Boardman, who passed away peacefully Thursday evening.. Peter was born June 12, 1939 in Youngstown a son of John and Florence Chengelis Kordomenidis.. He was a Boardman High School graduate and attended Mount Union College and graduated from Youngstown State University. He owned the Vanier Tavern and The Talk of the Town, before retiring from the State Liquor Store at the Lincoln Knolls Plaza. Peter was a life long member and board member of St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church, he also belonged to AHEPA. Besides his wife the former Alba Arcuri, whom he married August 29, 1966, he leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Florey (Keith) Dorenkott of Kent, sons Carlo (Jamie) Cordon and Peter (Kerrie) Cordon, Jr. both of Boardman, brother Paul (Joann) Cordon of Panama City Florida, six grandchildren C.J. Cordon, Jac Cordon, Kendal Cordon, William Dorenkott, Nolin Cordon and Ashley Cordon, brother-in-law Rocco Arcuri of Australia , sister-in-law Mimma Arcuri of Italy, a cousin Peter Cordon of Minneapolis, Minn. and a special cousin who traveled with him to Greece in Peter's younger days Manuel Chengelis. Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman and from 10:30 to 11 Tuesday at St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church.
