Peter Melnek, 90 STRUTHERS - Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at Saint John's Episcopal Church for Peter Melnek, 90, who died Tuesday afternoon at Hospice House. Peter was born July 26, 1920 in Youngstown, a son of Nicholas and Pauline Krill Melnek and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of South High School and worked as a salesman for Daugherty-Davis Company for over 50 years. He was a long time active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. His wife the former Sylvia Rose French whom he married April 25, 1953 died on April 10, 2009. He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Mark C. (Margaret) Melnek of Poland and David P. (Connie) Melnek of Delaware, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Austin, Angelisa, Michaela and Emily. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Melnek and two sisters, Stella Melnek and Katherine Lagese. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
