Obituary

Raymond Francis Gallagher, 85 BOARDMAN-Ray passed away Monday evening at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boardman. Mr. Gallagher was born December 28, 1926, in Youngstown, a son of Francis R. and Irene Murphy Gallagher. Ray graduated from Rayen High School and attended Youngstown College. He is a veteran from the United States Navy where he served with Carrier Aircraft Service Unit (CASU) #53 during WWII and assisted his comrades as a naval lifeguard. Ray worked in the transportation department for Youngstown Sheet and Tube. He was an avid reader, writer, researcher and author who used the pen name Bluerhymer writing many health care articles, JFK assassination theories and other material. He will be greatly missed by his son Robert Gallagher of Columbus ; two daughters, Rheta Gallagher of Columbus, Lisa Gallagher (Vince Raver) of Lowellville; a grandson Sean Gallagher of Columbus; a brother William J. Gallagher of Grand Prairie, TX; and several nieces and nephews.. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Bush and brothers Thomas J., John E, Robert. V.and James "Fred". At his request, no services will be held.
