Rebecca Jean Banks (formerly Shuck, nee Moran), age 76, of Poland, OH, formerly of Linesville, PA, passed away on July 14, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in New Castle, PA, Rebecca was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Nancy C. Moran. She was a dedicated and lifelong educator who deeply valued learning. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and her Master's degree in Early Education from Edinboro University. Rebecca poured her heart into her career, spending many years shaping young minds and supporting families as a teacher in the Conneaut School District while residing in Linesville. Rebecca was blessed with two beautiful chapters of family life. On July 10, 1971, she married her first husband, Ronnie C. Shuck, with whom she shared many wonderful years and raised their family until his passing. Years later, she found love and companionship once again, marrying John (Jack) Banks on June 11, 2016. Rebecca relocated to Poland, OH, where she and Jack lived. During this time, she enjoyed going to church and volunteering her time at The Dorothy Day House of Hospitality. Above all, Rebecca's greatest joy was her family. She was immensely proud of her children, cherished her role as a grandmother, and shared an exceptionally close bond with her brother, Rick, and sister-in-law, Jaime. She found her greatest happiness in the time, love, and laughter they all shared together.
