Rena F. (Proietti) Ritzert, 90 DATELINE - Rena F. (Proietti) Ritzert, 90, passed quietly at her home on April 9, 2015, after a short illness. She was born on March 8, 1925, in Arnold, Pa., to Caesar Proietti and Armelinda (Corsi) Proietti. She was the youngest of three children, having an older brother, August Proietti, and an older sister, Mary (Proietti) Oliva. After the death of her mother at age 5, she and her sister spent time in St. Anthony Orphanage, and at age 12, she and her sister returned home to live with their father. She married Robert Ritzert on Oct. 31, 1952, and lived her married life as a wife and mother. Later, she was employed by St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, where she worked as a nurses' aide and went on to retirement. She said that her proudest achievements were her daughters. She is survived by five daughters, Linda Schaal of Boardman, Diane Bradley of Rockville, Mo., Maryann McPeak of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Jacqueline Morales of Williamsfield and Janice Lisher (husband David) of Rockville. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Armelinda Corsi Proietti; her father, Caesar Proietti; her brother, August Proietti; and her sister, Mary (Proietti) Oliva. In place of a service, her family will have a private celebration of her life. Rena was loved by everyone whose lives she touched. She will be sorely missed by so many.
