YOUNGSTOWN-Richard E. Wallace,70 Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday April 15, 2016 at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church, Boardman, for Richard E. Wallace, 70, who passed away Friday April 1rst. Richard was born December 26, 1945, in Youngstown a son of Joseph and Helen Bindas Wallace and has been a life-long area resident. He graduated from Chaney High School with the Class of 1963 and served his country with the United States Marine Corps. Rich worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and U.S. Steel and later he worked for Mahoning County Engineering Department and retired from the Boardman Treatment Plant in May of 2011. Rich was a long time parishioner of St. Charles parish. He loved working in his yard, he would spend many hours outside so it would be perfect. Rich loved his sports, he played softball for years, enjoyed horse racing , watched all sports on television especially Cleveland Browns and Ohio State. Richard leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Patricia Forish, whom he married on May 11, 1970 in Monroe, Michigan. Their marriage vows were repeated on April 25, 1971 at St. Charles Church. They were just short of 46 years of marriage. He will be missed by his three sisters, JoAnn Wallace, Patricia Kovachik, Barbara Campolito all of Youngstown. He leaves behind 2 godchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Richard is preceded in death by a brother Henry (Hank) Wallace. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday April 14, 2016 at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
