AUSTINTOWN- Rick Stiles, 62 A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Ed Daley for Rick Stiles who passed away Thursday surrounded by his wife and mother. Rick was born in Youngstown on December 1, 1931, a son of Bill and Gertrude Watson Stiles. Rick was a Struthers High School Graduate, and a Navy Veteran. He served on the USS Lexington in Vietnam. Rick was employed by Star Extrusions as night shift operator. Rick and his best friend Bobby Fraizer started the first AA meetings at the former Woodside Hospital. Then they started meetings at the CCA on Market Street. He also was a member of the 1323 Club on South Avenue. Rick was an avid motorcycle rider and loved his Harley. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren. Besides his mother, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Sue Lanterman, whom he married June 29, 1985; two daughters, Roxanne (Tod) Woolensack and Kristal (Eric) Coler, all of Struthers; a son Richie Stiles of Youngstown; five grandchildren, Erica, Allison, Dylan, Jason, and Jayden; and three brothers, John of Struthers, Gary of Poland, and Mike of Florida. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who loved to come over and ride his Harley. He was preceded in death by his father. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Omni Manor and for their loving care shown to Rick,.and his friend Scott Speelman for visiting him Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
