Rita Louise Di Pietro, 92 BOARDMAN- There will be a Resurrection Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Christine Church celebrated by Rev. John Ettinger for Rita Louise DiPietro, 92, who passed away Tuesday morning at Hospice House surrounded by her family. Rita was born June 10, 1922 in Brockton, MA, a daughter of Patrick and Mary McCormick Hannigan and moved to the Youngstown area in the 1950's. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of St. Christine's parish. She loved to read, go shopping, enjoyed her pets but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Her husband Perry DiPietro whom she married January 5, 1943 died on September 21, 2007 after celebrating 64 years of marriage. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Kathleen M. DiPietro with whom she made her home in Boardman, Christine M. (Mark) Bartol of Hubbard; her son Jeffrey J. (Cathy) DiPietro of Boardman; two grandchildren Ryan and Ashley DiPietro of Boardman. Besides her husband and parents, Rita was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home prior to proceeding to St. Christine for the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers the family requests monetary donations be made in Rita's memory to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd, Poland, OH 44514.
