Robert A. "Bob" Walker, 76 LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman officiated by the Rev. Edward Noga for Robert A. "Bob" Walker, 76, formerly of Youngstown, who passed away April 22 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces. Bob was born June 27, 1934, in Hubbard, a son of Francis and Nellie Wilson Walker. He was a 1953 graduate of Hubbard High School. His career started at A&P as the meat dept. manager, he then worked for Giant Eagle as their meat dept. manager. After leaving Giant Eagle, Bob worked at the Meating Place and retired in 1994 from Second National Bank in Warren. Bob enjoyed bowling, playing golf and baseball. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Caroline M. Snyder, whom he married Sept. 17, 1955; five sons, Robert (Mandy) Walker of Austintown, William (Wendy) Walker of Morgantown, W.Va., Mark (Sharon) Walker of Girard, Greg (Nancy) Walker of Munhall, Pa. and Jeff (Tatti) Walker of Canton; one daughter, Alice E. Bowen of Porter, Texas; two brothers, Jim Walker of Poland and Dick Walker of Texas; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister-in-law, Mary Beth Holcomb of New Mexico; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Sanfrey of Poland. Besides his parents Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Jack Walker and two sisters, Dorie McNamara and Katherine Stitzer. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman. Material tributes can be made in Bob's memory to Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 Montana Ave., Las Cruces, NM 88005-3223.
