There will be Funeral Services held at 10am. Friday May 20th at St. Dominic Church for Robert E. Chizmar, 90 who passed away peacefully at Hospice House on April 13th with his son Mark by his side. Bob was born January 17, 1926 in Youngstown a son of Matthew and Suzanne Schromofsky Chizmar and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from South High School with the Class of 1944 and attended Youngstown College and Kent State University. He worked in various industries in sales and public relations and was the Project Administer of the State of Ohio High Speed Rail Program where he was responsible for bringing high speed trains into Ohio. His wife the former Margaret Perl whom he married on November 19, 1952 died on November 10, 2005 just short of celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary. He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Mark Chizmar with whom he made his home and Alan Chizmar of Lake Forest Park, WA; three grandsons Chase, Mason, & Justin of Canfield and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his three brothers, Larry, George and Albert Chizmar and his two sisters, Ann Chizmar and Mary Cunningham.
