Obituary

There will be a Funeral service held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, celebrated by Rev. Edward P. Noga, for Robert Arthur O'Leary who was born on March 27, 1929 to Arthur and Freda O'Leary and passed on Dec 19, 2016. He was raised in Youngstown,Ohio and later Moved to Canfield,Ohio. Bob met the love of his life, Marilyn nee: Overly, in school, as they sat next to each other. They began their married life while he was in the US Air Force where they made lifelong friends. They had four children: Alan (Marcy), Brian (Kim), Carole (Michael Senediak) and Denise (Rory Tomasek). He was the grandfather to Andrew and Adam O'Leary, Jeffrey and Julia Senediak, and Tyler and Simone Tomasek. Bob was an avid traveler, traveling throughout the world. He instilled the love of travel in his family having taken them on many exciting vacations. Bob will always be the one to blame when there is difficulty locating grandchildren who are on another excursion. He was an entrepreneur having owned the Edgar Miller Co., Andrew Miller Co., and Patterson Buckeye Inc. Bob refused to graciously retire. Bob was a supporter of Youngstown State University serving as a trustee for the Youngstown State Foundation , the YSU Penguin Club and the Curbstone Coaches. He faithfully attended the athletic events until his condition prevented it. Bob was even advised of the the football team's recent win despite being near death. It was his request that his obituary mention that he had had the opportunity and privilege of flying on almost every type of aircraft. Bob was predeceased in death by his parents and two infant sons. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Youngstown State Foundation, 606 Wick Ave. Youngstown, Ohio 44502 or the Penguin Club, 1 University Place Youngstown, Ohio 44555 in Robert's name. The family wishes to thank his caregivers, most especially Genelle White for her compassionate care and company. Family and friends may call from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St. Boardman, Ohio 44512.
