Robert J. O'Malley,68 Youngstown, Robert J. O'Malley, 68. A Memorial Mass will be 10 A.M. Thursday at St. Columbia Cathedral for Robert J. O'Malley, 68 of Youngstown, who passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon. Robert was born March 23, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of James O'Malley and Edith Stanley Tompers.. He attended the Rayen School and worked as a truck driver and was a Youngstown Policeman. Robert owned and operated Downtown Sign Company and Bobo's Towing. He was a lifelong member of St. Columba Cathedral and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Robert was a 6th degree black belt and enjoyed going to Atlantic City. He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1964 to 1967. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Carol A. Willison, whom he married April 30, 1970, a son Robert J. O'Malley of Youngstown, two daughters Maggie A. (Michael) Lehman of Columbiana and Erin M. (Joseph) Greenwood of Niles, a brother Michael F. O'Malley of Austintown and eight grandchildren Brittany (Luke) Fraser, Brandon O'Malley, Savannah Greenwood, Robert O'Malley, Sarah O'Malley, Mallory O'Malley, Michael Lehman and Matthew Lehman. Friends may call from 9 to 10 Thursday morning at St. Columba Cathedral. Robert's family wishes to thank the 4th floor staff at Northside Medical Center, the Rehab Dept at Austinwoods, the Staff at Vibra Hospital and Dr. David Kennedy and his staff for their compassion and support given to Robert.
