BOARDMAN - ROBERT D. SAMPSON - 80 Robert D. Sampson passed away peacefully on Sunday . A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Columba Cathedral on Wednesday October 7 at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Robert Siffrin, Diocesan Vicar. A devout Catholic, Roberts life centered on his faith; a member of St. Columba till present. Robert was born October 27, 1934 in Youngstown, son of Sam and Anna Lesnok Sampson Slapcaskey. A graduate of Youngstown State University, Mr. Sampson had a B.A. degree in accounting, he retired from Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. after 31 years of service, as a cost department head. Robert's Military service in the Army was as a Radio Code Operator 19th combat engineer and a member of the Honor Guard during Vietnam War, a distinguished honor. Robert leaves to cherish his memory his elder sister Dolores Falgiani of Boardman. Besides his parents Robert was preceded in death by his brother - in- law Albert Falgiani.
