STRUTHERS- Robert D. Tutko,60 Robert "Bob" Tutko passed away suddenly on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina, his favorite place in the world, on December 30, 2011. He was born May 23, 1951 in Youngstown. He was a 1969 graduate of Chaney High School in Youngstown where he was the Captain of the City Series Championship basketball team. He was employed at the 7-Up Bottling Company and ultimately retired from Schwebel's Bakery in October 2011, after more than 30 years of service. He married his former high school sweet heart, Joan Riley, on August 2, 1975. They had two children, Brendan M. of Poland and Adrienne (Kevin) Breuer of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. He leaves a granddaughter, Riley James. Bob loved the beach and ocean and had spent the recent Christmas holiday in Charleston, SC with his wife and dogs, Duffy and Flannigan. He and his wife traveled to Ireland years ago and made many trips to beaches along the East coast. Bob was a congenial host at all family holiday gatherings and insured that all had a festive time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Catherine (Sitnic) Tutko of Youngstown, his paternal and maternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He also leaves numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He and his wife were members of Christ our Savior at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers, Ohio where there will be a mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Thursday celebrated by Rev. Bernard R. Bonnot. Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm. Wednesday at The Fox Funeral Home.
