Rose M. Bresnahan, 93 BOARDMAN - Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, for Rose M. Bresnahan, 93, who passed away peacefully Friday morning with her family by her side. Rose was born March 10, 1922, in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael M. and Ruth C. Hartman Stanton. She was a member of St. Dominic Church and was a member of the Altar Rosary and Infant Jesus of Prague. She was also a member of the National Shrine of St. Jude, Ladies of Charity and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Her family was her life, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Vincent B. Carney, whom she married Nov. 23, 1944, passed away Dec. 11, 1956. Rose's second husband, John R. Bresnahan Jr., whom she married Feb. 10, 1962, passed away April 27, 1997. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Theresa Carney of Boardman and Rosemarie (Ken Bergquist) Carney of Stuart, Fla.; five sons, Vincent B. (Shirley) Carney of Fort Myers, Fla., Raymond R. (Rebecca) Carney of Boardman, Donald J. (Susan) Bresnahan of Melbourne, Fla., Raymond E. (Jo) Bresnahan of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and John M. (Susan) Bresnahan of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Terri Bresnahan of Little Rock, Ark., a brother. John M. (Patricia) Stanton of Struthers; grandchildren Kimberly A. Baxter of Florida, Kerri L. McCormick of Florida, Kristina M. (Chris) Graham of Florida, Michael V. (Kim) Sandy of Ohio, Gina Wells of North Carolina, Raymond R. (Elizabeth) Carney Jr. of Virginia, Molly (David) Grimes of Virginia, Rory (Tammy) Carney of Florida, Karen R. (Preston) Cobb of Florida, Rose E. (Kevin) McGuire of Kansas, Anita T. Bresnahan of Florida, Joseph M. (Elizabeth) Bresnahan of Arkansas, Kelly M. Altic of Ohio, Raymond E. (Kimberly) Bresnahan Jr. of Ohio, Andrew P. (MariAnn) Bresnahan of Ohio, Sarah R. Bresnahan of Florida and John Roy Bresnahan of Florida; and 26 great-grandchildren with two on the way. Besides her husbands, Rose was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Bresnahan; three brothers, Edward M. Stanton, Robert J. Stanton and Leo M. Stanton; and a sister, Margaret R. Stanton Mayer.
