Obituary

Rosemary McFadden Doyle, 81 YOUNGSTOWN - Rosemary McFadden Doyle, 81, of Youngstown, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Hospice of the Valley's Hospice House with her family at her side. Mrs. Doyle was born October 1, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of Daniel and Ellen McFadden. She was a 1945 graduate of Ursuline High School, and later graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Radiology. Following her graduation, she worked at St. Elizabeth's and completed her 26 year medical career working with Drs. Keyes, Chevlen & Roland. She was a profound woman of faith, and extremely proud of her Irish heritage. Mrs. Doyle was a charter member of St. Luke Catholic Church, where she was actively involved in the Altar & Rosary Society, the Annual Church Festival as a committee member and worker, the RCIA team, and participated as an Offertory Counter. She was also an active member of the Green/Gold Card Club consisting of women friends from Ursuline, and worked as a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul soup kitchen. Her husband of 49 years, Richard Joseph Doyle, whom she married on February 18, 1950, died on August 15, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Susan Trewella (Robert) of Boardman; Judith Burchard (Donald) of Salisbury, North Carolina; one son, Richard Doyle (Evelyn) of Younsgtown; five granddaughters, Ashling, Brigid, and Molly Trewella, Katie Tobias, and Halie Doyle; three grandsons, Justin Morgan (Tara), Brendan Trewella, and Timothy Tobias; two great-granddaughters, Kylie and Gabriella Morgan; one great-grandson, Noah Trewella; and one sister, Margaret Kramer. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen Mullen and Kathleen McFadden; and three brothers, James, John and Robert McFadden. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, with Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Jospeh Fata and Fr. James Ebright (Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Salisbury, NC) officiating on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Luke Catholic Church, with internment following at Calvary Cemetery. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hospice of the Valley, the doctors, nurses, aides and staff, for their healing presence in making this transition peaceful. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.
