Ruth M. DeVincent, 93, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024.

Ruth was born on September 15, 1931, in Youngstown, to Michael and Ann Granchie Bucko and lived her life in the Youngstown area until moving to Hudson in 2022.

Ruth was a bookkeeper and a private music instructor at Tee Ross Music Studio for many years. It was at Tee Ross Music Studio where she met Joe, who would become her husband for 65 Years until his passing in June 2022.

In addition, Ruth worked as a real estate agent with Cliff Fisher Realty and Quail Hollow Reality. She also worked for Merle Norman Cosmetics at the Southern Park Mall and retired from Macy's at the Southern Park Mall in 1995 where she was the counter manager for Elizabeth Arden Cosmetics.

Ruth volunteered as a poll worker for her precinct in Boardman Ohio for many years and was a member of the Board of Health Systems Agency of Eastern Ohio and The League of Women Voters.

Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Caroline (Wes) Gray of Hudson, Ruth (Len) Pogacnik of Poland, her grandchildren Victoria Gray of Pittsburgh, Stepanie (Joe) Slovasky of Cleveland, Doug (Jill) Pogacnik of Pittsburgh and Wes Gray of Columbus. She also leaves her sister-in-law Mary Grace Bucko as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Joseph who died on June 26, 2022, a sister Rita Matyi and brother Donald and Thomas Bucko.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday October 15, 2024, at St. Charles Church in Boardman. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Easter Seals of Mahoning County, 299 Edwards St., Youngstown, Ohio 44502 in Ruth's name or to St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Dr. Youngstown, Ohio 44512.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
