Boardman, Ruth I. Long, 94. Prayers will be 9:30 Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. At St. Dominic Church for Ruth I. Long who passed away Thursday afternoon. Ruth was born September 10, 1920 in Youngstown a daughter of Thomas M. and Laura Belle Waller Adams. She was a sales clerk at Murphy and Woolworth dept stores downtown, then later went to work at the Mazda Lamp Plant. Ruth was a member of St. Dominic Church and made crafts that she would donate to charity. She loved to bake and spending time with her family. Her husband James C. Long, Jr., whom she married August 23, 1943, passed away November 23, 2000. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons James C. (Elaine) Long III of New Middletown and John R. Long of Boardman, a daughter Marilyn J. Tablack of Boardman., a brother Karl Adams of North Lima, a sister Marion Jean Ocarz of Poland, four grandchildren Michael Tablack, Lorriane Long, Julie Long and Jennifer Harper, and eight great grandchildren.. Besides her husband, Ruth is preceded in death by two sisters Kathleen Skotonski and Merle Goybos. Friends may call from 4 to 6 Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
