Ruth C. Meredith, 86 POLAND - Prayers will be at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Msgr. William J. Connell at noon at the Holy Family Church, Poland, for Ruth C. Meredith, 86, who passed away Monday evening. Ruth was born Aug. 31, 1926, in New Castle, Ind., a daughter of Harry and Bernadine Harmeyer Knollman. She was a graduate of Chrysler High School in New Castle, Ind. Ruth was a devoted member of the Holy Family Church, where she was active in the bereavement group. She enjoyed playing bridge, and belonged to several bridge clubs. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert G. Meredith, whom she married May 17, 1952; three daughters, Julia (Mike) Ginty of Fishers, Ind., Kathleen Meredith of Malvern, Pa., and Linda (Richard) Pacenta of Hudson, Ohio; a brother, Elmer Knollman of Muncie, Ind.; and five grandchildren, Kelly (Jason) Plumton, Ryan (Rebecca) Ginty, Kyle Ginty, Meredith Pacenta and Mason Pacenta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by four sisters, Irene Bouslog, Helen Griffith, Angela Dolan and Edna Short. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
