Samuel E. Liller, 72 CANFIELD-Samuel E. Liller passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 3,2013 at home with his wife by his side. Samuel was born on January 19,1941 in Pittsburgh, PA. Sam served honorably in the United States Navy from 1958 until 1994. He began his service to the U.S. Sea Cadet Corps Western Reserve Division in 1973, retiring as Lieutenant Commander in 1988. He was a retiree of GM Lordstown Division. He was an avid reader and most of all an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Sam enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Western Reserve Park in Canfield, Ohio in summer months and traveled to Del Rio, TX in the winter to share his life with close friends. He leaves behind his wife Dolly; daughter Kathy (Darryl) Rupert; sons, Bobby (Luanne) Liller, Steven (Linda) Liller; grandchildren Mark and Karenanne Liller, Brittaney Rupert, Samantha Rupert, Ashley Rupert; step-grandchildren Briana and Justyn Newsome and Seth Murray; brother Harold Liller; sisters Judy, Mary, Sarah and Agnes; plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harry Liller. Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on Saturday August 17th at Western Reserve Park with gathering beginning at Noon and military honors at 1 p.m. Please feel free to share any "Sam" stories at that time.
