Sheila Lynn Morrison, 67 BOARDMAN--A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 4:30 pm in the pavilion at the Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park for Sheila Lynn Morrison, 67, who passed away Sunday, September 16 at home. Sheila was born May 4, 1940, in Waukegan Illinois, the daughter of John and Dorothy Martin. She spent most of her childhood in Camas, Washington. She received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Oregon in 1962 and a Master's degree in education from Michigan State University in 1969. In 1962 Sheila married James Morrison; they were later divorced. She taught in Tennessee and Michigan before joining the Youngstown City School System, where she was a member of the faculty at South High, the Rayen School, Chaney High School as well as several special education programs. Sheila enjoyed traveling and was an avid bridge player, a devoted mother, and a proud new grandmother. She leaves behind two daughters, Sharon Morrison of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Anne Morrison of Dhaka, Bangladesh; one son, Dr. John Morrison of Seattle, Washington; and one grandson, Samuel Peale. She is also survived by four brothers: William Martin of Newport Beach, California; Robert Martin of Hoquiam, Washington; James Martin of Vancouver, Washington; and Richard Martin of Portland, Oregon. Her family also included her children's spouses and partners, Rich Collins, Randy Peale, and Christina Wong. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to either the National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by the Fox Funeral Home.
