Shirley May Darby, 82 YOUNGSTOWN - There were private funeral services held yesterday for Shirley May Darby, 82, who passed away June 5, at Assumption Nursing Home. She was born March 14, 1928, in Burrisville, R.I., a daughter of Elvert and Julia Guston Darling. She was a dedicated homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother. Her husband, Harold Darby, whom she was married to for 42 years, died in 1980. She is survived by her son, Ricky (Nancy) Darby of New Littletown, Pa.; two daughters, Jill (Will) Sobnosky of Youngstown and Judy (James) Morrill of North Royalton; a daughter-in-law, Sue Darby of North Ridgeville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her son ,Thomas Darby, who passed away in 2008.
