Obituary

Boardman- Shirley A. Deak, 64 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Christopher Cicero at 10 A.M. Saturday at St. Christine Church for Shirley A. Deak, 64 who passed away Monday while vacationing in Cape Cod with her grandchildren. Shirley was born April 18, 1947 in Youngstown a daughter of Clayton and Marjorie Hutcheson. She was a Boardman High School graduate and worked as a librarian at Niles McKinley Library recently retiring from the Solon Public Library. Shirley was a member of St. Christine Church and the Red Hatters. She loved her books , golfing and nature, especially spending time in Mill Creek Park. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons , Martin A. Deak of Tacoma, Washington and Dr. Terrence (Molly) Deak of Binghamton, New York, a brother Tom (Sonia) Hutcheson of Florida, two sisters Nancy Saluga of New Middletown and Patty (Tom) Sabel of Boardman, and three grandchildren Wyatt, Owen and Oscar. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, Boardman. Shirley's family wishes to thank the staff of Cape Cod Hospital for their excellent care.
