Sister Albert Marie Beil Sister Albert Marie Beil, OSU, of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, died February 17, 2009, at age 96. She was born in Youngstown on February 24, 1912, the daughter of Albert F. and Margaret Logue Beil. She attended St. Patrick School in Youngstown and graduated from Ursuline High School in 1930. She entered the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown on February 2, 1930 and professed final vows on August 19, 1935. Sister Albert Marie earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1942 and a Master of Arts in 1949 both from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She also attended St. John College, Cleveland,; Duquesne University, Pittsburgh; and the University of Notre Dame. In her 52 years of active ministry, Sister Albert Marie taught at St. Columba and Immaculate Conception Elementary Schools as well as Cardinal Mooney and Ursuline High Schools, where she served on the faculty for 37 years. After she retired from teaching, she directed the Ursuline Sisters Altar Bread Department until her retirement in 1988. Since then she has continued to be active in ministry at the Motherhouse, most recently praying for the needs of the church and the world. Sister Albert Marie leaves her sisters in community and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Sister Agnes Marie, OSU and Madeleine Beil Ziegler and three brothers, Albert A., Neale, and Richard Beil. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19th at the Ursuline Motherhouse, 4250 Shields Rd. in Canfield. Friends may call from 3:00-4:45 pm followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00pm. Donations may be made to the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown.
