Stephen B. Peterson, 66 BOARDMAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Gerald M. DeLuica on Monday, Jan. 18, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Charles Church in Boardman for Stephen B. Peterson, 66. Prayers will be at the Fox Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. prior to the Mass. Stephen B. Peterson was born in DuBois, Pa. on Oct. 12, 1949, son of Margorie Griffith and Dan Peterson. "Steve" was a 1967 graduate of Sharon High School. He was a tool and die polisher and retired from Micro Matic Tool and Die. He was an active member of the Youngstown Dart Association for 26 years, and also enjoyed attending NASCAR races, spending time camping and was a die-hard Steelers fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, the former Lucy Callahan, whom he married on April 3, 1971; his two children, Molly Peterson Islam of Englewood and Jeremy Peterson of Boardman; his four grandsons, Jordon and Cody Peterson and Caden and Keegan Islam; and granddaughters Aubrey and Karley Smith. He also leaves behind his siblings, brothers Eric Peterson and Gene (Cynthia) Peterson of California; sisters Dottie Callahan of Delaware, Ohio and Pam (Robin) Buchanan of Rogersville, Ala.; his mother-in-law, Carol (Callahan) Novotny; sister-in-law Martha Callahan; brother-in-law Michael (Meg) Callahan; sisters-in-law Rita Constantinovich of Hilliard and Ruth (Ron) Olbrych; and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his mother and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Callahan and David Constantinovich. The family would like to thank Dr. Sarac, Stephanie and the staff at the Center for Dialysis Care for all of the wonderful care and support they have provided to Steve over the years. "We especially want to thank Kenny Yates for his years of devotion, care and support to him, and to his son, Jeremy for providing his kidney and giving him an additional 20 years to be with those he loved." Family and friends may call at the Fox Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
