Theresa E. LaCivita, 90 BOARDMAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Fata at St. Luke Church, Boardman, for Theresa Elizabeth LaCivita, 90, who passed away peacefully Thursday morning. Theresa was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Youngstown, a daughter of Anthony and Jenny Jacon DeGeorge. She was a 1943 graduate of East High School. After high school, Theresa became the manager of Lewis, Weinberger & Hill on Logan Way. She worked there for several years before becoming a self-employed hair dresser. She was a Charter member of St. Luke Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Theresa loved playing bingo and going to the casinos. Her husband Lawrence A. LaCivita Sr, whom she married July 2, 1949, passed away March 16, 1998. She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Lawrence A. (Peggy) LaCivita of Boardman, Albert A. LaCivita (fiancee' Vicki McCarty) of Boardman and Anthony J. (Deborah) LaCivita of Old Greenwich, Conn.; a brother, Anthony DeGeorge of Largo, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Lori) LaCivita, Jason (Amy) LaCivita, Chris (Megan) LaCivita, Chad (Angelina) LaCivita, Mike (Rebecca) LaCivita, Daniel (Natalie) LaCivita, Josh (Allison) Moser, Emily LaCivita and Robert LaCivita; and 17 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Theresa was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor "Dutch" Diana; and a brother, Vince DeGeorge. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home on Monday at St. Luke Church.
