Theresa L. Lape, 80 BOARDMAN - Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Edward Noga at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Youngstown, for Theresa L. Lape, 80, who passed away Friday afternoon. Theresa was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of Jake and Jessie LaBelle Favia. She was a 1949 graduate of South High School. Theresa worked in the payroll dept. for Sears and Roebuck. She was a member of the church, where she was an usher, a member of the choir and parish council. Theresa started the greeter program at St. Patrick. Years earlier, she was active in the Cursillo Movement. She loved to travel and had her own tour company Glory Tours. Theresa was a tour guide for other tour companies and took many school children on tours to Washington, D.C. Her husband, Robert E. Lape, whom she married Oct. 21, 1950, passed away Jan. 21, 1997. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Linda (Joe) Pecchia of Boardman; two sons, Bob (Loreta) Lape of Boardman and Anthony (Paige) Lape of Poland; a sister, Connie LaBelle; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Marino and Jack Favia. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.
