Thomas J. Maloney Jr., 97 BOARDMAN---Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in Saint Charles Church for Thomas J. Maloney Jr., 97, who died Sunday morning at his residence. Thomas was born September 12, 1909 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of Thomas J. and Mary C. Fleming Maloney Sr. and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of South High School and retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube after many years of service. Thomas leaves his second wife Bertha Heaberlin whom he married November 19, 1988 , a son, Edward J. (Kathy) Maloney Sr. of Boardman; a daughter, Margaret (Charles) Handel of Middletown, OH; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Maloney of Poland; six grandchildren, Timothy Maloney of Poland, Daniel, Kevin and Edward Maloney all of Boardman, Kellie Lawrence of Reynoldsburg, OH ,Shelly Volpenhein of Mason, OH and nine great grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Agnes Holden who passed away April 20, 1979. Thomas was also preceded in death by his son Thomas J. Maloney III., five brothers, Albert, Michael, Francis, Donald and William Maloney, four sisters, Isabelle Maloney, Margaret Craley, Mary Wheetley and Helen Burke. Friends may visit 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
