Thomas P. Rober-81 BOARDMAN - There will be prayers at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Charles Church for Thomas P. Rober, 81, who passed Friday at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. Thomas was born July 12, 1933, in Toledo, son of Clarence and Ruth Page Rober. Thomas graduated from St. Basil Catholic High School in Pittsburgh in 1952, and graduated from Duquesne University School of Business in 1956. He taught at East High School from 1967 to 1970 and received his Masters in Education from Kent State University in 1975. Thomas was the Administrator of Business Education for Youngstown City Schools and Choffin for 29 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Charles Church as well as member of the downtown Kiwanis Club and loved his fantasy football for over 30years. Thomas's great joy and love was spending time with his grandchildren. Thomas will be greatly missed by his sons, Jeff (Kathy ) and Keith (Beth ) Rober, both of Boardman; his daughters, Linda (Eric ) Gilkinson of Columbiana, Renee (Greg ) Maderitz of York, Pa.; and his 10 grandchildren, JT and Michelle Rober, Andrea and Drew Rober, Taralyn, Tori and Taylor Gilkinson, and Gregory, Nicholas and Christopher Maderitz. He also leaves his brother, Gerald Rober of Dunellen, Fla. and sister Mary Box of Seminole, Fla. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Michelina "Mickey" Magnifico whom he married Jan. 28, 1956, she passed March 4, 2009. Besides his parents, he also was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta. Friends and Family may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
