Virginia I Crooks, 95 NEW MIDDLETOWN - Funeral services will beat noon Wednesday at the Bethel Church of the Brethren in Poland for Virginia I Crooks, 95, who passed away on Sunday. Virginia was born May 30, 1915, to Sam and Ida Powell Tinkey and lived most of her life in the Youngstown and Somerset , Pa., areas. Virginia was married to Robert L. Crooks for 49 years before his passing in December of 2005. Virginia leaves four children, Floyd Crooks of New Middletown, Thomas Crooks of Youngstown, Michael Falabella of Greenacres, Fla. and Barbara Hornyak who has preceded her; and 10 grandchildren. Virginia was a foster parent for numerous children for 30 years for the Mahoning County Children Services. Virginia was a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren and was an avid quilt maker. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Boardman,OH 44512.
