Virginia K. Knott, 98 NORTH LIMA - Virginia K. Knott, 98, died Jan. 9, 2011, at the Assumption Village Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 5, 1912, a daughter of James P. and Margaret M. Scanlon. Mrs. Knott was a 1931 graduate of East High School and worked for Mahoning County Department of Human Services. She was a homemaker, wonderful cook and belonged to several bridge clubs for many years. Virginia was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Her husband, Joseph S. Knott, whom she married in 1942, died March 1, 1971. She leaves two daughters, Lesley Siefert and Mary Virginia "Ginny" Watschke; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She will be especially missed by her nieces and her nephews and caregivers, Carol Bookwalter and Deborah Strawderman. Virginia was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Emery, Betty Ford, and one brother James Scanlon. Virginia has requested not to have services, but remember her by loving each other, and appreciating the gift of life and the abilities you have.
