Virginia E. Spatara, 73 BOARDMAN - Funeral services will be officiated by Deacon Paul Lisko at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, for Virginia E. Spatara, 73, who passed peacefully Thursday afternoon with her family by her side. Virginia was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Farrell, Pa., a daughter of William and Elsie Ritchie Hidlebrand. She was a Grove City High School graduate and enjoyed playing cards, writing poetry, bowling, and spending time with her family. Virginia volunteered at Southside Medical Center for several years. Her husband, Dominic J. Spatara Sr., whom she married July 25, 1960, passed away July 4, 1993. She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Robert Spatara of Youngstown, Frank (Deborah) Spatara of Punxsutawney, Pa., Richard (Lori) Spatara of Boardman, and Christopher (Carolyn) Spatara of Youngstown; five daughters, Patty (Tom) Hyland of Florida, Kathleen (Ron) Strange of Boardman, Georgie (Kenneth) Donatelli of Boardman, Margaret (Michael) Gollings of Boardman, and Elizabeth Reed of Farmdale; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by five sons, Dominic Jr., Michael, William, Raymond, and Dwayne; and two brothers, Edward and Charles Hildebrand.
