Walter E. Mesarch, 91 BOARDMAN - Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Renae Meggitt at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home for Walter E. Mesarch, 91, who passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon. Walter was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Duquesne, Penna. He was a Meadville High School graduate and worked as a printer for Youngstown's Vindicator, retiring in 1989. Walter loved spending time outdoors, gardening and traveling with his family. He also enjoyed bowling. Walter served in the Navy as an aviation electrician mate during World War II. His wife, the former Norma Jean Barnard, whom he married April 17, 1947, passed away Feb. 21, 2013. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Susan E. Rafidi of Boardman and Nancy A. (Johnny) Urraca of Dunedin, Fla.; a son, Scott E. (Shannon) Mesarch of Twinsburg; a brother, Nicholas DeRosa of Long Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Lisa Rafidi, Joy Leone Wezner, Logan Mesarch and Evan Mesarch; and three great-grandchildren.
