Obituary

William L. Drennen, 94 Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market Street in Boardman, for William L. Drennen,94, who died Sunday night at Vibra Hospital in Boardman. Mr. Drennen was born June 15, 1917 in Youngstown a son of Joseph Gray and Anna Garrett Drennen and was an area resident for all of his life. William attended South High School and was a veteran from the United States Navy serving during WWII. He worked as a union painter for 45 years, the last 12 years as the business agent. He was a member of Local Union #476, the American Legion and a long time member of Christ Church Presbyterian. He leaves his wife, Dellora Sterling whom he married April 5, 1947 just celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Suzanne (Joseph) Taormina of Austintown; two grandchildren, Heather (David) Blazo of Miamisburg, OH, Joseph ( his fiancAC. Brianna ) Taormina of Austintown; two great- granddaughters, Isabella and Alayna Blazo; a sister, Katherine McGarry of Lisbon; a brother J. Gray Drennen of Austintown. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son William G Drennen; two sisters, Dorothy Crane and Ruth Smith. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home . Burial will be at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman.
