William M. Evans Sr., 82 BOARDMAN - Private services will be held for William M. Evans Sr., 82, who passed away Sept. 10. William was born March 25, 1929, in West Palm Beach, Fla., a son of Henry David and Annie Susie Cobb Evans. He started working as an exterminator, and then went into the concession business, selling tacos, where he got the nickname "Taco Bill" and he ran with his families help Evans Family Fudge. William was a World War II Navy veteran and was honorably discharged in 1946, obtaining the rank of Seaman First Class. His wife, the former LaDonna Louise Hoover, passed away Oct. 13, 2001. He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, William M. (Tina) Evans Jr. of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Barbara Ann (John) Turney of Boardman and Lea Allison (Mark) Plunkard of Goose Creek, S.C.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. There are no calling hours. Material tributes can be made in Bill's memory to American Cancer Society.
