Youngstown- William Joseph Gleason, 94, There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev Edward Noga at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Church Youngstown, for William Joseph Gleason, 94, who passed away Sunday afternoon. William was born November 27, 1915 in Youngstown the son of Thomas & Teresa Burns Gleason. He graduated from the Rayen School and Ohio Sate University with the Class of 1947. In the 50's and 60's William was the Architect for Lev Construction and Lark Construction designing many of the homes in Brownlee woods area. He served as civil engineering supervisor for U.S. coast Guard in Cleveland for 23 years retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of the Army serving as a Staff Sergeant with the army Corps of Engineers in the Pacific during WWII. He was a member of Triangle Fraternity and a member of St. Patrick Church. His wife Margaret M. Kane whom he married Oct. 14, 1954 died in 2000. He will be sadly missed by his nephew Michael Volosin of Charleston, SC.; three nieces Marianne Caine of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dorothy Maholtz of Girard and Pam Volosin of Poland,OH and many other neices and nephews. William was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Grace Gleason and Betty Gleason Volosin. Friends may call 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave, Youngstown, OH.
